Key Responsibilities:

  1. PKI Design and Implementation:

  2. Design and implement a scalable and secure PKI architecture to meet the organization's cryptographic needs.

  3. Select and configure PKI software, hardware, and tools to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.

  4. Certificate Management:

  5. Develop and implement certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation policies.

  6. Manage certificate lifecycles, including certificate enrollment, validation, and revocation.

  7. Key Management:

  8. Design and implement secure key management systems for encryption keys, digital signatures, and other cryptographic materials.

  9. Ensure proper key storage, backup, and recovery procedures.

  10. Security Audits and Compliance:

  11. Conduct regular security audits to ensure PKI compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).

  12. Implement security measures to protect against certificate misuse, tampering, and unauthorized access.

  13. Collaboration and Communication:

  14. Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, Security, Development) to ensure PKI integration and support.

  15. Communicate technical information and PKI best practices to stakeholders and team members.

  16. Continuous Improvement:

  17. Stay up-to-date with emerging PKI technologies, standards, and best practices.

  18. Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to optimize PKI operations.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.

  2. Experience:

  3. 5+ years of experience in PKI design, implementation, and management.

  4. 2+ years of experience in cryptography, network security, or a related field.

  5. Skills:

  6. In-depth knowledge of PKI technologies (e.g., X.509, SSL/TLS, OCSP).

  7. Strong understanding of cryptography (e.g., public-key algorithms, digital signatures).
  8. Experience with PKI software (e.g., OpenSSL, OpenCA).

  9. Familiarity with cloud-based PKI solutions (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud).

  10. Certifications:

  11. CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certifications.

  12. PKI-specific certifications (e.g., PKEA, PKI-C).
