Primary Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and secure backend services using Scala and JavaArchitect and implement microservices using the Play FrameworkDeploy and manage applications in Kubernetes on AWSIntegrate backend services with PostgreSQL databases and data processing systemsUtilize Datadog for monitoring, logging, and performance optimizationWork with AWS services, including Elastic Beanstalk, for deployment and management of applicationsUse GitHub for version control and collaborationLead and participate in the complete software development life cycle (SDLC), including planning, development, testing, and deploymentTroubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing softwareDocument the backend process to aid in future upgrades and maintenancePerform code reviews and mentor junior developersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field7+ years of experience in software development using Scala and JavaTechnical Skills:

Experience with Datadog for monitoring, logging, and performance optimizationExperience with PostgreSQL databasesExperience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration)Solid proficiency in Scala and Java programming languagesExtensive experience with the Play Framework for building microservicesProficiency in deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes on AWSProficiency in AWS services, including Elastic BeanstalkFamiliarity with version control systems, particularly GitHubSolid understanding of data structures and algorithmsSoft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsSolid communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamLeadership skills and experience mentoring junior developers
