Job Title: Food Lab Incharge

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Food Lab Incharge to oversee the daily operations of the food testing laboratory. The role involves managing quality control processes, supervising laboratory staff, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and maintaining accurate testing documentation. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of food analysis techniques, laboratory management, and regulatory standards (FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the overall functioning of the food testing laboratory.
  • Conduct and oversee chemical, microbiological, and nutritional analysis of food products.
  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, and other regulatory and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results, reports, and laboratory documentation.
  • Implement and monitor Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures.
  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Develop and validate new testing methods as per industry requirements.
  • Train and guide laboratory staff in testing procedures and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with production, R&D, and quality teams to resolve food quality issues.
  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in food testing, quality assurance, or laboratory management.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (FSSAI, ISO, NABL, HACCP, GMP).
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and analytical methods.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
