ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Skills

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Develop robust data models using Power Query (M language), DAX, and SQL.
  • Optimize performance of Power BI reports and datasets.
  • Implement row-level security, role-based access, and manage workspace deployments.
  • Automate report refreshes, schedule data updates, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation of BI solutions.
  • Stay up to date with Power BI feature updates and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
  • Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and transforming data.
  • Knowledge of Power BI Service (publishing, workspaces, security, gateway setup).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Power BI Certification (e.g., PL-300) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with other visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is an added advantage.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently.
  • Collaborative team player with stakeholder management experience.
