We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist with 5-8 years of experience to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging data to drive business impact, possess a strong foundation in machine learning and statistical modeling, and be adept at translating complex data insights into actionable strategies. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical rigor, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to various data sets, addressing complex business challenges.
- Utilize predictive modeling techniques to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other critical business outcomes.
- Coordinate seamlessly with different functional teams, including product, marketing, and engineering, to implement models and monitor their performance and impact.
- Develop robust processes and tools to continuously monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy, ensuring ongoing reliability and relevance.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
- 5-8 years of experience in data collection, preprocessing, and analysis of large, enterprise-level data sets.
- Extensive proficiency in Data Mining, mathematical, and statistical analysis of data from various databases or data sources to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques, and business strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a distinct emphasis on product development and practical application.
- Expertise in statistical computer languages such as Python and/or R to manipulate data, build models, and draw insights from large data sets.
- Proficiency in Machine Learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, deep learning) and a clear understanding of their real-world advantages and drawbacks.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression analysis, properties of distributions, statistical tests, hypothesis testing, A/B testing) and practical experience with their applications.
- Experience with Web Services and integrating models into production systems.
- Experience working with and creating data architectures, contributing to scalable and efficient data pipelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for coordinating effectively across diverse teams and presenting complex findings.
- A strong drive to learn and master new technologies, algorithms, and data science techniques continuously.
