Role & responsibilities

  • Read and interpret requirement documents and translate it into Test Cases and Scenarios
  • Conduct functional, UI/UX, regression, integration, and performance testing of new features and system upgrades before releasing to live
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test cases and test scripts for mobile (Android & iOS) and web trading applications.
  • Coordinate with product, development, and devops teams to identify, log, track, and resolve defects in a timely manner.
  • Having worked as QA / Functional Tester in a reputed brokerage firm or quality testing vendor.
  • Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to product team
  • Daily liaisoning with technology team and vendors and business for projects and issue resolution
  • Communicate key insights and findings to product team
  • Have a knowledge of Mutual fund domain
  • Ensure application uptime by performing regular health checks, automated monitoring validations, and smoke tests post-deployments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices, automation scripts, and test coverage.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 5+ years of experience in Business / Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance.
  • Minimum bachelors degree with strong analytical skills.
  • Having flair to understand the system and perform UAT testing
  • Familiar with excel, word, SQL and system processing functionalities.
  • Should be inclined towards financial domain, particularly Capital Markets & trading systems
  • Having knowledge of Mutual Funds, Trading platforms
  • Understanding of User interface and user experience in trading systems.
  • Problem solving abilities for business challenges / customer issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skill
  • Familiarity with tools like Postman, Selenium, Appium, Browser Stack, or similar for automated and manual testing.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on QA experience, preferably in stock trading, fintech, or capital markets applications.
  • Proven track record in both manual and automated testing of mobile and web platforms.
  • Strong understanding of trading platform functionalities including order lifecycle, market depth, and risk controls.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Postman, Selenium, Appium, BrowserStack, or similar.
  • Knowledge of APIs, SQL, and test management tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
