We are seeking an experienced Accounts & Finance Manager with strong expertise in Project Accounting, Cost Control, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting. The ideal candidate should be a Cost Accountant with 10–15 years of hands-on experience in managing multi-location project finances, monitoring profitability, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving financial discipline at project sites and Head Office.

Location: Kolkata (H.O)

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reporting To: CFO / Finance Controller / Director

Experience: 10 – 15 Years

Qualification: Cost Accountant (ICMAI/CMA) is mandatory. Additional CA/CS/MBA Finance will be an advantage.

Industry Preference: Construction, Infrastructure, EPC, or Project-based organizations

Key Responsibilities

Project Accounting & Cost Management

· Oversee end-to-end project accounting, cost tracking, and financial reporting for multiple sites/projects

· Monitor project budgets vs actuals, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions

· Establish project cost control mechanisms, cost allocation, WBS-based accounting, and cost centre mapping

· Prepare project profitability analysis, margin analysis, and forecasting

· Review project cash flow, fund requirements, and financial planning

Financial Reporting & MIS

· Prepare and present monthly/quarterly/annual MIS, dashboards, and management reports

· Ensure timely and accurate closure of books of accounts

· Develop financial models for project feasibility, forecasting, and decision support

Compliance & Audit

· Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Income Tax, ROC, and other statutory requirements

· Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal controls

Billing, Payables & Receivables Management

· Oversee client billing, certification of invoices, contract payment terms, and collections

· Manage vendor payments, subcontractor bills, reconciliation, and ageing analysis

· Monitor retention money, BG (Bank Guarantee), LC (Letter of Credit), and project financial documentation

Team Leadership & Process Implementation

· Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team across Head Office and project locations

· Implement strong internal controls, SOPs, and financial discipline

· Work closely with project, procurement, and contracts teams to drive financial efficiency

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of Project Accounting, Costing, and Budgeting

Expertise in financial planning, cost control, and contract financial management

Proficiency in ERP systems (Tally ERP, SAP,)

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot, V-Lookup, H-Lookup, Macros, Dashboards)

Ability to manage multi-project environments and large data sets

Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills

Preferred Candidate Profile

· Cost Accountant (CMA/ICMAI) – Mandatory

· 10–15 years of experience in project-based industries

· Strong understanding of EPC, construction, or large project finance cycles

· Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹950, ₹1,100,000.00 per year
