Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Junior Marketing Officer to join our team and manage marketing operations in the Katihar area. The ideal candidate will be passionate about agriculture and rural marketing, with a strong focus on connecting with our end-users—the farmers. You will be responsible for executing marketing strategies, strengthening our brand presence, and driving sales through our network of wholesalers and retailers.
Key Responsibilities:**1. Marketing and Branding:**
* Develop and implement local marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and adoption of our products (Triguna, Hara Sona, Nanda) among farmers.
* Organize and conduct field promotional activities, such as farmer meetings, crop demonstrations, and participation in local agricultural events (haats, melas).
* Ensure proper placement and visibility of branding materials and point-of-sale displays at retailer and wholesaler locations.
* Educate farmers on the unique benefits and proper application of our product range to drive demand.
**2. Market Research and Analytics:**
* Conduct regular market research to gather insights on farmer needs, cropping patterns, and emerging trends in the Katihar region.
* Monitor and analyze competitor activities, including pricing, new product launches, and promotional strategies.
* Collect and report data on market feedback and product performance to inform regional strategy and product development.
* Utilize market analytics to identify new growth opportunities and potential challenges within the assigned territory.
**3. Sales and Channel Management:**
* Work closely with our network of wholesalers and retailers to ensure product availability and smooth supply chain operations.
* Assist in setting and monitoring sales targets for the dealer/retailer network.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, providing them with the necessary training and marketing support.
* Track and report on primary and secondary sales data within the territory.
**4. Monitoring and Performance Tracking:**
* Regularly monitor sales performance against monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
* Prepare and submit timely reports on marketing activities, sales figures, market intelligence, and competitor tracking.
* Track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and promotional activities through defined key performance indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications and Skills:* Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A B.Sc. in Agriculture is highly preferred.
* 1-2 years of experience in sales or marketing, preferably in the agri-input (fertilizer, seeds, pesticides) sector.
* Strong understanding of rural markets and the farming community in Bihar.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Hindi and local dialects.
* Ability to conduct market analysis and translate data into actionable insights.
* Must be willing to travel extensively within the Katihar district.
* Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
* Proficiency in MS Office is required.
