Application Developer Advisor  
Talented C# .NET developer is needed to join US Medical Sales and Underwriting.  The Developer in this role will be responsible for the architecture, technical design and development of new .NET applications and web services which will be critical components of the rating tools' infrastructure. We are seeking a very strong C# .NET developer to work with a team of high-performing, high-caliber individuals who are focused and motivated to achieve the department goals.

This position will be on an agile team in the Sales and Underwriting Organization.  They will be responsible for coding in a suite of .Net Applications that support various underwriting and sales users who create proposals and quotes used to sell group medical and dental insurance. The developer will code new functionality in these tools to support: screen and UI changes; report changes; and service layer changes.  The position further requires strong analytical skills, as the suite of applications the team supports interacts not only with each other, but also with large number of applications, both within and outside the department.  This complex system's ecosystem necessitates an ability to dive in deeply to understand the interconnections between all these applications.  This need is both creating new application code as well debugging problems within application and between applications in the wider system's environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead design and coding activities for the team

Design and code application changes for upcoming application releases and other technical initiatives

Resolve technical issues and problems as they arise, take ownership of tasks, assignments and issues and follow through to resolution

Work collaboratively with other team members (developers, analysts, business partners and multiple upstream and downstream applications)Meet challenging deadlines while producing high quality results (meeting business requirements and design specifications with low defects) Production of documentation for Enterprise groups

Education: BS, Computer Science or related degree

Experience: Minimum of 8 Years in Software Development.

Skills:

Strong Knowledge and Working Experience in:

Object-oriented software design and development

Microsoft .NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET Core 2 MVC WebAPI, ASP.NET 2.0, Strong knowledge of LINQ and Lambda expressions

Experience with MVC/MVP design patterns

Entity Framework Core APIAngular 6, or any other JavaScript framework Modern web UI development with Material, Bootstrap, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS3WebAPI, REST services, JSONSQL Server – Stored Procedures, User Defined functions, performance tuning Container strategies, Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes, etc.

QE Testing and Unit Testing

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

Python Coding Experience.

Experience in the AWS Tech Stack
Prior experience with Scrum or any other agile SDLC methodology.

Prior work experience with ASPOSE components and/or Excel object model Advanced experience with Windows services, Oracle and DB2Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)Prior experience on a multi-threaded application,

Familiarity with underwriting and pricing methodologiesDevOps, CI/CD
