Job Summary

The Draftsman (Roads & Highways) will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings and design layouts for highway and road projects, in accordance with client requirements, project specifications, and industry standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in CAD drafting for road infrastructure, geometric design, and civil drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and revise detailed
    CAD drawings
    ,
    plans
    ,
    profiles
    ,
    cross-sections
    , and
    alignment layouts
    for road and highway projects.
  • Support the design team in developing
    geometric design drawings
    ,
    drainage layouts
    ,
    signage and marking plans
    , and
    quantity take-offs
    .
  • Ensure drawings comply with
    IRC, MoRTH
    , and other applicable codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project managers to incorporate design changes and ensure drawing accuracy.
  • Maintain drawing documentation, version control, and proper file management.
  • Assist in the preparation of
    as-built drawings
    and design documentation for submission.
  • Ensure timely delivery of drawings as per project schedule.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering
    or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years
    of experience as a Draftsman in Roads & Highways projects.
  • Proficiency in
    AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
    ; knowledge of
    Civil 3D, MX Road, or Bentley OpenRoads
    will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with
    road geometric design, cross-section detailing, and drainage systems
    .
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
