Position Overview: The Production Supervisor / Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple production shops, ensuring efficient production planning, manpower management, and coordination with contractors. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in pressure vessel / filters and strainers manufacturing, engineering processes, and shop floor layout planning while being proficient in computer-based production management, ERP systems, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily production activities across multiple shops.
  • Ensure optimal manpower utilization, manage workforce scheduling, and oversee contractor operations.
  • Develop and implement efficient production plans to meet delivery schedules and minimize delays.
  • Oversee fabrication processes, including pressure vessel, filters, strainers manufacturing, layout of cones, dishes, and other engineering components.
  • Optimize shop floor layouts for improved workflow and productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure availability of raw materials and minimize inventory costs.
  • Implement and maintain ERP systems for production planning, stock management, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and quality assurance, to streamline operations.
  • Train and mentor production staff to improve skill levels and efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in production management within a pressure vessel / filters and strainers manufacturing setup.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fabrication processes, engineering drawings, and layout planning.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and computer-based production management tools.
  • Proficiency in shop floor workflow optimization and inventory control.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry safety and quality standards.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in lean manufacturing and process optimization.
  • Ability to handle high-mix, low-volume production environments.
  • Familiarity with welding, machining, assembly, painting and material handling processes.
