Job Title: Site Engineer

Department: Project

Reports To: Head Project Head

Position Overview:

The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and executing construction, renovation, and maintenance projects within the university campus. The role involves managing day-to-day site activities, ensuring quality control, adherence to timelines, safety compliance, and coordination with contractors, vendors, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor all on-site construction activities to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and vendors for smooth execution of projects.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and submit them to the Project Manager / Administration Head.
  • Ensure availability of materials and monitor their usage to minimize wastage.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
  • Assist in preparing BOQ (Bill of Quantities), estimation, and project cost control.
  • Verify and certify contractor bills and measurements.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair work for campus infrastructure (buildings, hostels, utilities, etc.).
  • Support the planning and execution of expansion projects and upgrades across the university premises.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute/university.
  • Experience: 46 years of experience in site supervision, civil project execution, or campus infrastructure management (preferably in an educational institution or similar setup).

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).

  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety regulations.
  • Strong understanding of project drawings and specifications.

Salary Range:

28,000 to 40,000 per month (depending on qualification and experience)
