Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analytics and reporting across large-scale datasets.
  • Manage data orchestration workflows using Airflow DAGs.
  • Implement real-time data streaming solutions using Kafka or Pub/Sub.
  • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to deliver accurate and reliable data.
  • Monitor and resolve data quality issues; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of data pipelines.
  • Optimize pipelines for scalability and performance as data volume grows.
  • Document architecture, processes, and best practices for internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL pipeline development.
  • Expertise with Airflow for data workflow orchestration.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Familiarity with Databricks for data processing.
  • Experience with Kafka or Pub/Sub for real-time streaming.
  • Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
  • Solid understanding of data modeling principles.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with data transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt).
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and quality practices.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to real-time analytics, ML pipelines, or big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
