About the Role

The MIS (Management Information System) Executive is responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting data to support decision-making in the garment industry. This role involves maintaining and improving systems for data collection, preparing reports, and providing actionable insights to optimize operations such as production, inventory, sales, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Management & Reporting

  • Collect, compile, and maintain accurate production, sales, inventory, and supply chain data.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on key performance metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Present reports and dashboards to management for decision-making.

2. System Management

  • Oversee MIS infrastructure and ensure smooth functioning of data management systems.
  • Coordinate with IT teams for software maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies.

3. Process Optimization

  • Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement new workflows or system enhancements.
  • Support integration of new technologies to improve productivity and accuracy.

4. Departmental Support

  • Provide customized MIS reports to production, merchandising, sales, and logistics teams.
  • Assist finance with budget and cost analysis.
  • Work with inventory teams to ensure accurate stock records and forecasts.

5. Training & Documentation

  • Train staff on MIS tools and reporting systems.
  • Document processes, workflows, and report formats for consistency.
  • Prepare and maintain MIS user manuals and guidelines.

Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certifications in data analysis/MIS software (Excel, SQL, Power BI) are an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of MIS experience, preferably in the garment or manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of garment industry workflows (production cycles, inventory, supply chain).

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros).
  • ERP systems, SQL databases, and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).
  • Strong knowledge of MIS infrastructure, data collection, and reporting tools.

  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and well-organized.

Additional Information

  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday
  • Timings: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
