Estimation Engineer

Job Title: Interior Estimation Engineer / BOQ SpecialistJob Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimation Engineer / Quantity Surveyor with experience in Interior Designing or Turnkey Fit-out Projects. The candidate must be skilled in preparing accurate BOQs (Bill of Quantities), material take-offs, and cost estimations for residential, commercial, or corporate interior projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and material quantity calculations based on architectural drawings, layouts, and designs.
• Analyze construction drawings, carpentry details, modular furniture layouts, ceiling, flooring, electrical and plumbing works for accurate costing.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain quotations and pricing.
• Estimate labor, material, and overhead costs for complete project execution.
• Prepare comparison sheets and value-engineering options for cost optimization.
• Work closely with design & project team to understand scope and provide precise budgets.
• Assist in tender documentation, client quotations, and pricing negotiations.
• Track actual site consumption vs estimated quantities during execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in Interior Estimation / BOQ / Quantity Surveying.
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials such as plywood, laminates, hardware, gypsum, tiles, paints, etc.
• Ability to read AutoCAD drawings, architectural layouts, and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and estimation templates/tools.
• Experience in modular furniture / carpentry estimation is a plus.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.

Preferred Background

• Experience working in Interior Contracting, Modular Furniture, Architecture, or Civil Construction Firms.
• Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or Quantity Surveying.
