We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our team at FAI. The selected candidate will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the foundational platforms, tools, and infrastructure that enable efficient software development and reliable application delivery across the organization. As a key member of our engineering team, you will partner closely with developers, DevOps, and operations to create scalable, secure, and automated platform that support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and optimize cloud-based platforms using AWS under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Develop and enhance monitoring, logging, and diagnostics capabilities to support platform performance, availability, and incident troubleshooting.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Python scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance, including creating build/deploy scripts and integrating tools like Jenkins, CodePipeline.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical tasks and implementations.
  • Support containerized application environments using Docker and Kubernetes, including deployments, basic cluster operations, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues, performing root-cause analysis, and contributing to overall platform stability and scalability.
  • Contribute to code reviews and follow engineering best practices to maintain code quality and consistency.

Key Requirements

  • 6 years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or related areas.
  • 2–3 years of experience in application development using .NET or Java.
  • Solid understanding of cloud fundamentals, with working experience in AWS.
  • Strong skills in Python scripting for automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning.
  • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • Good understanding of version control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, or TFS.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (deployments, configurations,troubleshooting).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Experience participating in code reviews and following design guidelines, even if not responsible for high-level architecture.

Nice to Have

  • AWS certifications or equivalent training.
  • Exposure to serverless services and automation (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
  • Understanding of GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, Flux, etc.
  • Experience with Windows or Linux administration tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts—DNS, load balancers, reverse proxies, firewalls.
  • Exposure to Active Directory / ADFS environments.
