Role: Oracle Database Administrator

Location: Remote

Experience: 5 to 10 years

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Oracle database systems, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases and related software.
  • Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning strategies to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct regular backups, restore data, and implement disaster recovery plans to protect against data loss.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard databases from unauthorized access and potential threats.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and resolve database-related issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Stay updated with the latest Oracle database technologies and best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery procedures, including RMAN.
  • Knowledge of Oracle security features and best practices for data protection.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
