A key construct of EP&PE will be the evolution of the IT Product Manager, who will partner with Engineering Domains, Business Aligned Service Delivery organization, DevSecOps Domain and our operational support teams to ensure that IT PM&D provides high quality, commercially attractive and timely solutions to support our business strategy. As the Principal Jira Developer for the Jira Governance & Support Team you will collaborate with other IT SMEs and the DTCC Jira user community to ensure the continuous improvement of our Jira implementation.

This position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications based on the Atlassian Jira platform. This position works closely with project and product managers, business analysts, other developers, and end users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with DTCC's Jira implementation best practices and :

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain DTCC's Jira implementation using its configuration capabilities supplemented by Groovy scripts.
  • Create custom workflows, fields, screens, permissions, and other Jira configurations to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality, performance, and security.
  • Support creation and execution of test cases.
  • Document process using both narrative and diagram artifacts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Jira-related issues.
  • Manage Jira enhancements and Groovy scripts using source-code control.
  • Mentor other Jira developers.
  • Stay up to date with Jira developments and new :
  • Ability to build partnerships and facilitate discussions across the enterprise to help define requirements, identify process improvement opportunities, and guide the execution of those requirements into process solutions.
  • Critical thinker who can identify potential Jira implementation improvements by studying current practices and business functions, evaluating alternatives, and designing modifications.
  • Understand and communicate operational impact of proposed changes.
  • Encourage and embrace positive change and influence others to adapt to change by demonstrating the execution of new concepts and ways of working.
  • Demonstrate persuasive communication skills with a special emphasis on two-way communication

  • Jira certification (e.g., Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator).
  • Experience with Linux and Relational Data Bases.
  • Experience in Financial industry a plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
