Primary Title: Consultant Urologist (MCh/DNB)

About The Opportunity
A leading healthcare provider in the tertiary-care hospital sector, delivering comprehensive surgical and medical services across urology, oncology, and minimally invasive interventions. We are recruiting an experienced Urologist to join a growing clinical team in Ajmer, Rajasthan (on-site role) to expand specialist services, strengthen clinical governance and support multidisciplinary patient care.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality outpatient, inpatient and emergency urology care, including assessments, treatment planning and follow-up.
  • Perform a broad range of urological surgeries with emphasis on endourology, stone surgery, transurethral procedures, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted operations.
  • Manage urological oncology cases—preoperative planning, radical/oncologic resections and multidisciplinary tumor board participation.
  • Lead and develop the endourology/stone service: introduce evidence-based protocols, optimise pathways and reduce length of stay.
  • Supervise, mentor and train junior doctors, residents and nursing staff; participate in teaching activities and clinical audits.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhere to clinical governance standards and participate in on-call rota and quality-improvement initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

  • MCh Urology or DNB (Urology) qualification.
  • Valid medical registration with the relevant State Medical Council and eligible to practice in India.
  • Proven operative experience in endourology and stone management including PCNL and ureteroscopy.
  • Proficiency in transurethral procedures (TURP/TURBT) and laser enucleation techniques (HoLEP).
  • Comfortable with laparoscopic and robotic-assisted urological procedures or demonstrable experience in minimally invasive surgery.
  • Strong clinical decision-making in acute urological emergencies and ability to manage complex inpatient cases.

Preferred

  • Fellowship or formal training in endourology, uro-oncology or minimally invasive/robotic surgery.
  • Experience establishing clinical pathways, quality improvement projects or service development in urology.
  • Track record of teaching, publications or participation in national clinical meetings.
