Position Overview
The SUPW Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering hands-on, skill-oriented activities that promote social responsibility, creativity, productivity, and community service among students. The role focuses on building practical life skills, teamwork, and values through meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop age-appropriate SUPW curriculum and lesson plans.
- Conduct classes involving craft, practical skills, community service, maintenance, gardening, recycling, and other productive activities.
- Organize workshops and project-based learning experiences.
- Encourage students to innovate and create socially useful products.
- Guide students in acquiring skills such as teamwork, craftsmanship, creativity, problem-solving, and responsibility.
- Foster a sense of social awareness and community engagement.
- Assess student performance through participation, project work, and learning outcomes.
- Maintain records of student attendance, project progress, and assessments.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of tools, materials, and equipment required for SUPW activities.
- Coordinate with other teachers for interdisciplinary projects.
- Prepare reports for school events, exhibitions, or inspections.
- Ensure safe usage of materials and tools during practical work.
- Maintain discipline and provide clear instructions for safe conduct.
- Create an environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and responsibility.
- Organize community service programs such as cleanliness drives, environmental campaigns, charity activities, etc.
- Display students work during school exhibitions, annual days, or fairs.
- Collaborate with NGOs or community organizations for experiential learning.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in fine arts, Craft Education, Home Science, Education, or related fields (as applicable).
- Additional certifications in arts, crafts, vocational training, or skill development are desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong creative and practical skills across various craft forms.
- Ability to work with students of different age groups.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for hands-on teaching and community-oriented work.
- Organizational skills for planning workshops, events, and projects.
