Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications as per doctor's prescriptions.
  • Ensure accurate labeling, dosage, and patient instructions for all medicines.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, check expiry dates, and manage stock rotation.
  • Maintain temperature logs for temperature-sensitive medicines and ensure proper storage as per regulatory norms.
  • Verify prescriptions for legal compliance and potential drug interactions.
  • Counsel patients on correct medication usage and possible side effects.
  • Adhere to all protocols under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 & Rules, 1945.
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and proper documentation within the pharmacy.
  • Support audits and inspections by regulatory authorities.
