Role Overview:

IRC Group is hiring an experienced Procurement & Fleet Sourcing Manager to manage fleet hiring, vendor negotiation, rate finalization, and logistics procurement operations.

The ideal candidate must be highly active in the transport vendor network, understand market rate trends, and possess proven expertise in sourcing FTL, LCV, trailers, and other logistics fleets. This role is critical in ensuring cost efficiency, service reliability, and smooth fleet availability for daily logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Fleet Procurement & Rate Finalization

• Source, negotiate, and finalize cost-effective rates for rented fleets (FTL, LCVs, trailers, etc.).
• Evaluate daily market rate trends and ensure profitability aligned with company standards.
• Maintain updated rate sheets, vendor quotes, and market intelligence reports.

2. Vendor Identification & Evaluation

• Identify, onboard, and maintain a strong pool of reliable transport vendors and fleet operators.
• Conduct detailed vendor intelligence—operational capacity, financial health, credibility, and past performance.
• Monitor market reputation, informal feedback, and vendor behaviors before finalizing contracts.

3. Negotiation & Contracting

• Negotiate the best possible rates, payment terms, and service conditions.
• Draft vendor contracts ensuring compliance with organizational procurement policies.
• Build long-term vendor relationships to ensure stable fleet availability.

4. Vendor Relationship Management

• Ensure smooth coordination for fleet allocation, load movement, and issue resolution.
• Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews and address service gaps early.
• Maintain transparent communication to enhance vendor loyalty and service reliability.

5. Market Research & Analysis

• Track market fluctuations, competitor pricing, fuel cost impact, and transport trends.
• Identify risks and suggest cost-saving strategies for fleet procurement.
• Provide management with regular market insights and vendor comparison reports.

6. Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with operations and accounts teams for billing, payments, and allocation.
• Prepare vendor evaluation sheets, rate analysis, MIS, and procurement reports.
• Support management in strategic procurement planning.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration.
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in fleet hiring, logistics procurement, or transport vendor management.
• Strong vendor network in Delhi NCR and North India logistics market.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
• Skilled in MS Excel, comparison sheets, and procurement tools.
• Deep understanding of transport fleet types, market rate structures, and vendor behavior.
