Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, ensuring high-quality images are produced while prioritising patient care and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare environment.

Duties

  • Conduct MRI scans as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, addressing any concerns, and ensuring their comfort throughout the examination.
  • Operate MRI equipment effectively while maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses through high-quality imaging.
  • Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with health regulations and organisational policies.
  • Assist in the maintenance of MRI equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues promptly.
  • Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in MRI technology or medical imaging.
  • Proficiency in operating MRI machines; experience with CT scanning is advantageous.
  • Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach to handling diverse patient needs.
  • Familiarity with IT systems related to medical imaging and electronic health records.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
