Role: Sr Quality Engineer Automation Testing for UK based wealth management client
Location: Bangalore

Essential
  • Coded Automation proficiency in C Sharp and Visual Studio
  • Playwright experience preferred
  • Specflow or ReqNroll or similar BDD framework
  • JIRA or equivalent
  • Confluence or equivalent
General
  • Eight years or more of QE testing experience with a demonstrable track record on large greenfield projects
  • Test Automation Strategy and Best Practices
  • Ability to assess when to use automation versus manual testing based on risk ROI and test stability
  • API and Integration Testing
  • Hands on experience with standard industry tools such as Postman
  • Risk Based Testing Decisions
  • Ability to determine which tests should be automated (high volume regression API) versus which should remain manual (usability, exploratory, edge cases)
  • Test Maintenance and Scalability
    • Ensuring automation is sustainable by implementing best practices like self healing tests, modular frameworks, and reusable test scripts
  • Shift Left Testing
    • Embedding automation early in development
  • Exploratory and Manual Testing Strategy
    • Understanding the value of manual testing in scenarios that require human intuition such as UX, accessibility, and new feature validation
  • Agile and Scrum Experience
  • Active participation in Agile ceremonies
  • Excellence in soft skills including communication, collaboration, and problem solving
  • Automation Framework Design
    • Experience building and maintaining robust automation frameworks
  • Leadership experience
    • Experience with leading Quality Engineers and Automation Engineers
  • Pipeline and CI/CD experience
    • Setting up maintenance and running of pipelines
Desirable
  • Performance and Load Testing
    • Familiarity with tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner
