About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Test Engineer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in creating and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to understand testing needs.
  • Create, review, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, compatibility, usability, and exploratory testing.
  • Report defects with clear steps to reproduce and track them to closure.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure product quality.
  • Validate fixes and ensure resolved issues do not impact existing functionality.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA reviews.
  • Work with tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar defect/test management systems.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement in QA practices.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and QA best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
  • Working knowledge of Automation Testing.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
  • Good knowledge of writing clear, comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) is an advantage.
  • Experience testing web and mobile applications.
  • Ability to identify, document, and track defects effectively.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Good-to-Have Skills
  • Exposure to SQL for data validation.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
