Manager, Cloud Engineering, PDC

Pega Diagnostic Center (PDC) is a Cloud service product that is used throughout the application life cycle to assess the health of your application, notify you of critical issues and resolve performance and stability problems. We (Predictors Team) PDC scrum team involves developing applications on PRPC platform with integrating Amazon Web Services such as SQS, Lambda etc. for application monitoring. This team involves end to end life cycle of PDC new enhancements including in Pega application development, Pega-AWS service development, Testing, Production deployment and Post production product support.

This team is primarily responsible for new enhancements to PDC application hosted on Pega cloud, supporting customer SRs and contributing to the PDC adoption as monitoring tool to help the customer success.

In this role, you will lead engineering team(s) that engage deeply in building core features of the Pega Diagnostic Center (PDC). You will be responsible for working closely with product owners and application developers across the globe to build highly available and scalable Pega PDC Cloud service for application monitoring by adhering to our agile team structure. You'll help us design, develop, implement and test the components and services for enhancing Pega Diagnostic Center.

• • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Pega application engineers of PDC fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Handl the team who design, develop, implement and test the components and services that built using Pega Platform and AWS services to add enhancements to Pega Diagnostic Center.
• Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching to enhance team effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align PDC initiatives with business objectives.
• Keep team motivated and embrace changing priorities and guide them to multi-task as a team.
• Represent the team in product level forums.
• Guide team to apply the best engineering practices to build software.
• Motivate teams to learn and embrace new software development paradigms like GenAI etc.
• Work with product managers to ensure the team has a healthy backlog of work, which helps achieve product objectives.
• Work with architects and developers to ensure design and architecture used for features owned by your team enable rapid development and future enhancements, with quality that enables continuous deployment, and performance that supports millions of users.
• Work with peer managers to improve processes and engineering practices we follow, and to swarm on work.
• Participate in and drive initiatives at product or company level.
• Work on developing your skills to meet expectations and stay relevant.
• Contribute productively to a fast-paced agile/scrum software development team
• Collaborate with the Product team and other stakeholders to translate feature requirements into software deliverables.
• Continuously improve, refine, and refactor the code base and configuration tools

• You are a technical expert in Pega application developer along with cloud service development and related technologies, effective communicator, and collaborator.
• You are a team manager who has experience in software development technologies and is passionate about exploring and applying this to help solve real business problems.
• You work closely with product management to translate the requirements into application features, helping own up the technical and architectural design of solutions, defining the quality and gating criteria of features while taking complete responsibility for the deliverables from the team.

• 10+ years of development experience in Pega application development along with cloud service development and related technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field
• Working knowledge of RDBMS with preferably Postgres.
• Should have experience in application integration using REST/SOAP
• Consistently delivered high-quality solutions that align with client expectations and non-functional requirements (NFRs).
• Successfully managed internal/customer escalations, analyzing issues in real-time to ensure minimal impact on sprint deliverables.
• Demonstrated expertise in task prioritization and strategic assignment of responsibilities during changing priorities and escalations.
• Experienced in managing and leading high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment, with continuous learning habits.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in building Pega software and in applying GenAI technologies to improve productivity.
• Agile/Scrum development methodology knowledge/experience
• Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills and must be a fast learner.
