Job Title: Assistant Manager – Presales & Technical

Department: Enterprise / AV / Network / IT Sales

Location: Guwahati

Experience: 5+ years

Reporting To: Business Head

Dotted Reporting To: Branch Manager / Regional Manager

Functional Area: Presales & Technical

Sub Functional Area: Sales

Job Purpose

  • Identify, investigate & resolve client/user technical issues.
  • Understand customer requirements and prepare suitable technical solutions and presentations.
  • Provide Proof of Concepts (POCs).
  • Manage installation, configuration & project execution within specified timelines.
  • Provide warranty and post-warranty technical support.
  • Follow up RMA cases with OEMs.
  • Prepare all technical documentation for tenders and projects.
  • Ensure timely reporting and effective communication.
  • Provide onsite technical support across customer locations.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, OEM, process, and system requirements.
  • Support organizational transformation & change management initiatives.

Key Accountabilities1. People Management

  • Identify competency gaps and arrange training (internal/external) for self and team.
  • Evaluate team after training to ensure improved performance.
  • Complete business-critical certifications as required by management.
  • Mentor, retain, and build a strong technical team while avoiding attrition.

2. Pre-Sales Planning & Performance

  • Support sales team by attending joint customer visits to understand requirements.
  • Identify and qualify customer leads.
  • Prepare customer-focused technical & commercial solutions including diagrams, PPTs, BOQ, TS, and SOW.
  • Conduct competitive product analysis to identify suitable OEMs.
  • Prepare technical compliance documents before and after tender/RFQ release.
  • Coordinate with OEMs to ensure technical compliance and propose appropriate solutions.

3. Operations & Execution

  • Implement solutions as proposed and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Follow project timelines and milestones set by supervisors.
  • Obtain completion certificates from customers after successful project execution.
  • Perform installation, configuration & completion of work within agreed scope and timelines.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues both onsite and remotely.
  • Provide warranty/post-warranty support.
  • Follow up with OEMs/distributors for defective materials, replacements, and RMA cases.

4. Communication & Process Management

  • Actively participate in review meetings following the required format and timeline.
  • Maintain effective cross-functional communication and provide necessary support.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to company policies and processes.
  • Ensure team participation and compliance with all organizational requirements.

Experience & Educational RequirementsEducational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Science / MCA / IT or related field
  • CCNA / CCNP or equivalent global certification (mandatory)
  • NSE Certification or equivalent for Firewalls (preferred)

Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years in Presales & Technical (Networking Domain)
  • Strong experience in Switching, Routing, Firewall configurations (L3 level expertise)
  • Knowledge of IP Surveillance & Cybersecurity solutions (preferred)
  • Experience handling a technical team
  • Experience in project execution of active networking products
  • Strong technical presentation skills for client engagement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50, ₹70,000.00 per month
