Job Summary

As a U.S. Tax Associate, you will assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals. You'll gain exposure to a variety of clients and industries while developing deep technical tax knowledge.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review U.S. federal, state, and local tax returns (corporate, partnership, and individual).
  • Assist in tax planning and compliance projects.
  • Analyze and interpret tax laws, regulations, and rulings.
  • Support senior tax professionals in responding to tax notices and audits.
  • Conduct tax research using tools such as RIA, CCH, or Bloomberg BNA.
  • Maintain and update client files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with audit and advisory teams for tax-related matters.
  • Ensure timely filing of all required tax documents and forms.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's in Taxation a plus).
  • CPA or working toward CPA certification preferred.
  • 0–2 years of relevant tax or accounting experience (internships count).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. tax code and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., GoSystem, CCH Axcess, UltraTax, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
