Are you a content enthusiast with a knack for making images pop and videos flow smoothly?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Basic Video and Photo Content Editor to help us create engaging, platform-ready content for our digital channels, primarily social media and our [Website/YouTube Channel/etc.].

This role is perfect for someone who is proficient in user-friendly editing tools like Canva, YouTube Video Editor, or other similar basic software, and has a great eye for making content look clean and professional without needing complex, high-end production skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Photo Editing: Crop, resize, enhance, and apply basic color correction to still images using tools like Canva, or built-in phone/desktop photo editors.
  • Video Editing (Basic): Assemble raw video clips, trim footage, add simple transitions, text overlays, and background music/sound effects for short-form content (e.g., social media reels, YouTube Shorts, basic vlogs).
  • Template Customization: Utilize and adapt existing design templates in Canva for consistent branding across various platforms (social posts, YouTube thumbnails, simple graphics).
  • Content Formatting: Export and format final assets (video and photo) to meet the specific requirements and specifications of different platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Asset Management: Organize and maintain a clean library of all raw footage, photos, and final edited assets.
  • Quality Assurance: Review all edited content to ensure it aligns with the project brief and brand guidelines before final delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven proficiency with user-friendly editing platforms such as Canva (Visual Suite), YouTube's native editing tools, or similar applications.
  • A strong, basic understanding of visual composition, timing, and storytelling.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work from simple content briefs or outlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free, visually appealing work.
  • Good time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with basic content trends on social media and YouTube.
