Job Purpose: Associate - IDT/Power Trafo is responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of IDT and power transformers, ensuring all equipment functions efficiently, meets design specifications, and adheres to industry standards.

Commissioning and Execution:

Execute the commissioning of wind, solar, and hybrid projects in Gujarat (GJ) and Rajasthan (RJ), ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.

Carry out the installation and commissioning of the 33kV line of the SECI-V Project as per management directives, coordinating with various teams to ensure seamless execution.

Monitor transmission schemes and power evacuation processes to ensure adherence to business performance goals.

Cost Optimization and Performance Monitoring:

Develop and implement strategies for cost optimization across various running projects, analyzing expenditures to identify potential savings.

Gather information related to connectivity, Long-Term Access (LTA), Grid Connectivity (GNA), and project commissioning, ensuring data accuracy for performance evaluation.

Monitor new regulations and facilitate the adoption of new government portals to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.

Safety Culture Development:

Foster a culture of safety at project sites by ensuring strict adherence to workplace safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ensure zero accidents and Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) during execution and commissioning activities, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for team members.

Technical Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities, including documentation for regulatory compliance, performance analysis, and project updates.

Prepare and submit detailed reports on project progress, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory requirements for audits.

Training and Development:

Provide technical training to team members on operational procedures, troubleshooting, and safety practices, enhancing overall team capabilities.

Support training for other OEM turbines and assist in resolving technical issues during commissioning.

Integration and Coordination:

Manage the integration of power transformer systems with existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless coordination among project teams to address technical concerns.

Oversee the preparation of project evacuation plans for upcoming renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.

Regulatory Compliance and Audit Management:

Ensure 100% compliance with safety standards during installation and commissioning processes, regularly reviewing safety protocols.

Address all audit observations promptly, ensuring timely closure of audit points as per the agreed timelines between the commissioning team and the audit team.

Operational Performance Improvement:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor and improve operational performance, achieving annual targets for Plant Load Factor (PLF) and availability.

Contribute to the development and implementation of business processes that support strategic plans and drive operational excellence.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution is mandatory. Specialization in power systems, electrical machines, or control systems is preferred.

Postgraduate degree in a relevant field can be an added advantage.

Work Experience:

5-7 years of experience in the electrical domain, with a strong preference for experience in the renewable energy sector.

Hands-on experience in electrical systems testing, quality control, and standards is essential.
