Senior Software Quality Engineer

As a member of one of the most innovative and fastest growing groups at Pega, you will work closely with talented engineers and product owners across the globe to build highly scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. The Customer Decision Hub (CDH) team is responsible for designing and implementing features on top of Pega Platform, which provides an "always on" brain for your business, integrating customer intelligence across all your channels and optimizing each individual interaction with your brand. We ensure each touch is relevant for them and generates value for you. CDH provides Next-Best Action recommendations in real-time, using the customer's current context. Those recommendations are always relevant, timely, and consistent - regardless of whether the interaction happens on inbound, outbound, owned, or paid channels. This team mostly works on inbound channel related features, and as a team, high emphasis is given to architecture and designs while also enhancing application maturity. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of applying GenAI to revolutionize our testing practices by building intelligent systems that understand our codebase and automatically generate comprehensive integration tests.

What You'll Do at Pega:

• Build GenAI-based systems to auto-generate integration test suites from code, UX specs, and documentation
• Architect AI-driven pipelines to analyze code changes and create workflow-aligned test cases
• Develop prompt engineering solutions for accurate, maintainable test scripts
• Integrate AI-generated tests into CI/CD pipelines for seamless execution and feedback
• Collaborate with dev teams to extract context for high-quality test generation
• Enable synthetic test data creation for broad scenario coverage
• Implement self-healing frameworks to auto-fix broken tests after app changes
• Define metrics to ensure AI-generated tests meet coverage and reliability standards
• Innovate testing with emerging GenAI techniques for design, defect prediction, and QA
• Continuously improve the GenAI testing platform within Scrum processes

Who You Are:

• Innovative, results-driven engineer passionate about building intelligent GenAI-driven testing systems. Skilled in architecting AI solutions, making sound decisions, and leading by example.
• 5 to 6 years in quality engineering/test automation with hands-on framework experience
• Proficient in Selenium or Playwright; strong API and integration testing expertise
• Ability to analyze workflows and specs to design GenAI-driven end-to-end test scripts
• Excellent communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Exposure to GenAI and LLMs; eager to apply AI for test generation and maintenance
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and Jenkins automation
• Expertise in API testing (Karate or similar) and automation aligned with dev velocity
• Proficient in OOP, Java, XML for robust automation solutions

What You've Accomplished:

• Proven track record in designing and building automated test frameworks or contributing to large-scale test automation initiatives
• Experience partnering with internal clients, such as Product Managers or Engineering teams, to align testing strategies with business goals and implementation results
• Experience with Customer Decision Hub (CDH) or similar real-time decisioning platforms is an added advantage
