Venpa Staffing Services is on the lookout for a dedicated Underwriter to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This full-time, on-site position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 6 months to 9 years of experience in underwriting and income processing within the Outsourcing/Offshoring industry.

As an Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in evaluating risk and determining the terms of insurance policies. You will work closely with various teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in underwriting processes, making this a pivotal position within our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze applications for insurance coverage
  • Assess risk factors and determine appropriate underwriting guidelines
  • Make informed decisions on policy approvals and conditions
  • Collaborate with sales and client management teams to facilitate smooth processes
  • Provide expert advice on underwriting practices and standards
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate underwriting outcomes to improve processes
Requirements
  • 6 months to 9 years of underwriting experience
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in underwriting software and tools
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry
  • Relevant certification in underwriting is a plus
