Role and Responsibilities:
The Data Architect will be responsible for partnering with business managers to develop technical strategies and architectures to support their objectives. The role requires extensive experience in Azure Data Factory and hands-on experience with cloud-ready data engineering solutions, preferably in Azure cloud. The Data Architect will also be responsible for delivering analytics in modern data architecture, utilizing Hadoop, Massively Parallel Processing Database Platforms, and Semantic Modeling. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Working with different scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, PIG, Java, .NET, and Spark Scala or PySpark
  • Creating CICD pipelines and implementing data catalog
  • Acquiring knowledge of ETL and ELT patterns and when to use them
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience designing solutions leveraging Microsoft Cortana Intelligence Suite of Products (Azure SQL, Azure SQL DW, Cosmos DB, HDInsight, DataBricks)
  • Experience working with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, Field Services Management, Supply Chain solutions, and HR systems
  • Ability to work independently, establish strategic objectives, project plans, and milestones
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
Required Skills:
  • Azure Data Factory (5+ years)
  • Azure Data Bricks, Azure Cosmos DB, Multi-Factor Authentication, Event Hub, Azure Active Directory, Logic Apps, and Snowflake (3+ years)
  • Cloud ready data engineering solutions, preferably in Azure cloud (hands-on experience)
  • Delivering analytics in modern data architecture (Hadoop, Massively Parallel Processing Database Platforms, Semantic Modeling) (5+ years)
  • ETL and ELT patterns and different scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, PIG, Java, .NET, Spark Scala, PySpark)
