Contract UI/UX Designer – Figma Design System Expert

Location: Remote

About the Role

We're seeking a UI/UX Designer who is an expert in Figma Design Systems to help our team bring clarity, structure, and consistency to our design files. This is a short-term contract engagement focused on auditing, organizing, and upgrading our existing Figma setup using the latest Figma concepts — including Variables, Components, Auto Layout, and Design Tokens.

You'll collaborate with our design and product teams to establish scalable design standards and best practices that ensure long-term consistency and efficiency across all Figma projects.

Responsibilities

  • Audit existing Figma files and identify opportunities for consolidation and improvement.
  • Build or refine a scalable Figma Design System, leveraging the latest features (Variables, Component Properties, Auto Layout 5.0, etc.).
  • Create clear naming conventions, file structures, and usage guidelines to ensure consistency across teams.
  • Document and communicate best practices for working within Figma to designers and developers.
  • Ensure alignment between the design system and the product development process.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to the internal design team during implementation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or Design System Specialist with a strong focus on Figma.
  • Deep knowledge of Figma's latest features (Variables, Component Sets, Auto Layout, Interactive Components, Dev Mode, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience building or maintaining Design Systems in Figma for digital products.
  • Strong eye for visual consistency, scalability, and file hygiene.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience implementing Design Tokens or bridging design systems with development.
  • Familiarity with multi-brand or multi-theme design systems.
  • Basic front-end understanding (HTML, CSS, or React) is a plus.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 2 months

Pay: ₹12,500.00 per week
