1.Maintenance & improvement of existing Safety & environmental management systems 2.Maintenance of Occupational Health & Safety, Process safety and environmental related

records / information

  1. Providing training to the new recruits and refresher training for Employees & contract workers

  2. Should interact with various statutory agencies like DISH, PESO, TNPCB, Fire Services etc and ensure compliance as per requirements.

  3. Should have adequate knowledge on, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Fire fighting techniques, PPE usage, Work at Height, confined space work, Hot works, Line break permits, Process Safety element PHA, HAZOP, HAC, MoC, PSSR, Incident Investigation etc

  4. Knowledge on operation & maintenance of ETP and STP plants.

  5. Should have knowledge on Process Safety Management, Behavioral Based Safety, British Safety council audit, Responsible Care codes & other Safety audits

  6. Should have knowledge on various statutory guidelines towards Consent to Operate, Gas cylinder rules, SMPV Rules, Storage licenses, Poisons License, Hazardous waste authorization, Fire license etc

9.Follow-up on on Safety / environmental issues/ conditions stipulated for the plant whenever needed

  1. Carrying out various Safety &environment related studies/ surveillance in coordination with external agencies

11.Compilation & submission of various data/information relevant to statutory aspects to regulating authorities as stipulated

  1. Knowledge on ISO-14001 & ISO system compliance and working towards compliance on the updated legislation /new legislations

13.Should spearhead special safety campaigns like Near Miss campaign, PPE usage, internal audits, Safety week celebrations, competitions etc.

  1. Exposure to advanced Environmental treatment techniques & their implications
