About the Project:

We're producing a high-quality web series blending cinematic storytelling with digital-native energy. The project includes multiple episodes with a strong focus on dialogue clarity, immersive soundscapes, and dynamic sound design to match its visual style.

We're seeking a talented and detail-oriented Audio Engineer who can bring professional polish to our sound—from set recording to post-production mixing and mastering.

Key Responsibilities:

On-Set (if required):

  • Record clean, high-quality production sound (dialogue, ambient, and sync audio).
  • Manage boom and lavalier mic setups during shoots.
  • Monitor sound levels to ensure consistency and avoid clipping or distortion.
  • Maintain and organise audio logs and backups.

Post-Production:

  • Clean up and enhance dialogue using noise reduction, EQ, and compression.
  • Sync audio with video footage in collaboration with the editor.
  • Design and mix sound effects, Foley, and ambient layers to build atmosphere.
  • Balance dialogue, music, and SFX for emotional and tonal impact.
  • Deliver final audio masters in compliance with OTT or broadcast loudness standards (e.g., -23 LUFS or -14 LUFS depending on platform).
  • Collaborate closely with the director, editor, and music composer to achieve the desired tone.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in audio engineering for films, web series, or short-form content.
  • Strong command over DAWs such as Pro Tools, Reaper, Logic Pro, or Adobe Audition.
  • Familiarity with Dolby Atmos / 5.1 / stereo deliverables a plus.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard plugins for mixing, mastering, and restoration (iZotope RX, FabFilter, Waves, etc.).
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining audio quality.
  • Keen ear for detail, rhythm, and tonal balance.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with ADR recording and Foley creation.
  • Knowledge of OTT technical specs (Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar).
  • Understanding of color grading audio alignment and CST loudness pipelines.
  • Interest in storytelling, genre blending, and creative sound experimentation.
