We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer Lithium Battery with strong expertise in electrical engineering, power electronics, and hands-on experience in EV battery design and development (2-wheeler domain). The role involves designing, validating, and optimizing advanced lithium battery packs, ensuring compliance with automotive standards, and driving innovation for sustainable electric mobility solutions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into practical solutions.

  2. Lead electrical design, development, and validation of lithium battery packs.

  3. Develop and test product prototypes using electrical simulations.

  4. Define and document technical specifications for prototype design, testing, and approval.

  5. Manage component-level and full-vehicle approval processes with state and central testing centers.

  6. Ensure all electrical aspects of vehicle programs meet safety, quality, and usability requirements.

  7. Conduct log analysis of battery data and translate observations into actionable development insights.

  8. Lead lifecycle and ageing tests, SOC/SOH algorithm development, and EMI/EMC-compliant hardware design.

  9. Coordinate with certification teams for Type Approval Certificates and ensure compliance with ISO26262 and traction battery standards.

  10. Specify and peer-review requirements for chargers associated with lithium battery packs.

  11. Maintain complete documentation for process repeatability and training.

  12. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all stages of development.

  5. Foster a conducive environment for innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Technical Expertise

  1. Strong systems approach to battery product design & development.

  2. Familiar with mechanical and thermal aspects of battery design.

  3. Hands-on exposure to cell selection, characterization, pack design, validation, SOC/SOH algorithms.

  4. Knowledge of Battery Management Systems (BMS) design & development.

  5. Expertise in high-current power electronics applications, protection & diagnostic circuitry.

  6. Understanding of SDLC, V-model, problem-solving techniques.

  7. Ability to work with charger specifications and reviews.
