Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Android Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance mobile applications for the Android platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kotlin and Java, a solid understanding of the Android SDK, and experience delivering reliable, scalable, and user-friendly applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and backend services.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards.
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging to identify and fix bugs or performance bottlenecks.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Work closely with designers to ensure an excellent user experience (UI/UX).
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Publish and maintain apps on the Google Play Store.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–6+ years of experience in Android app development.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
  • Deep understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation), and MVVM/MVP architecture.
  • Experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and version control systems (Git).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations.
  • Knowledge of Material Design principles and UI/UX best practices.
  • Experience with unit testing, instrumentation testing, and debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with Google Play Console for app publishing and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI development.
  • Knowledge of Firebase, Push Notifications, and Crashlytics.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or mobile DevOps tools.
  • Experience integrating with payment gateways, maps, or analytics SDKs.
  • Understanding of clean architecture and SOLID principles.
  • Published apps or contributions to open-source Android projects.
  • Certifications such as Google Associate Android Developer (AAD) are a plus.
