Job Title- Design Engineer-Electrical & Instrumentation

Personnel responsibility No

Key stakeholders for collaboration & coordination (network)- Projects, Customer Support, Production,

Procurement, PSC, Customer, Vendor.

Key Role (Purpose & Summary)-- - Electrical & Instrumentation Project Design Engineer is responsible for

engineering and design of E&I document related to Project execution for fulfilment of contract requirements in

regard to system functionality, time, quality and cost.

Key task & Responsibilities


• To Create Project drawings / documents as per instructions of Team leader based on inputs

received and obtained.

1) P&ID

2) BID

3) Instrument List and IO List

4) Feeder/load list

5) Device layout

6) Cable schedule

7) Cable termination

8) Cable route layout

9) Electrical drawings review


• Knowledge of reading plant layouts and GA drawings


• Prepare Other technical document (Feeder list, Power supply distribution scheme etc.) for

customer approval


• Generation of Cable selection\Calculations\Schedules\Routing etc. based on the equipment list

\Layout provided by respective Project team.


• Design \ Selection of the electrical switchgears and Control equipment.


• Working exposure with field Instruments, PLC items and networking hardware


• Well versed in interdepartmental coordination


• Discuss & decide schedule start, completion and submission date & ensure the timely

completion of task.


• Carryout self-review of the OEM electrical drawings / documents, with respect to completeness,

correctness, aesthetics etc. before submission for quality review.


• Jointly review the vendor electrical drawings/ instrument, motor datasheets with Team

leader/member with respect to system requirement and tender specification and carry out

changes as per the comments and understand the basis / reason for comments.


• Prepare Technical data sheet of Bought-out items as per the system requirement and tender

specification

Qualification

Educational background - Bachelors degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electricals + Electronics

engineering discipline from an accredited college or University.

Experience (professional, leadership, international years of experience in Project design

engineering

Additional Qualifications - Experience in design tool like AutoCAD, Eplan.

Key knowledge, skills & competences

Functional skills:


• Knowledge of Electrical design, control and instrumentation along with Knowledge of

hardware selection, motor starters & system communication, LV switchgear, VFD,

PLC, field instrument & automation components.


• Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.


• Process knowledge of material handling/ cement grinding, silo and packing /loading

plant


• Working exposure of equipment for conveying/loading/packing /material handling


• Knowledge of Auto CAD 2D


• Knowledge of E-plan


• Good knowledge of Microsoft tools
