Role Description
Food Technologist Cum Production Supervisor

This is a full-time on-site role for a Food Technologist based in Rajkot .This role combines the technical expertise of a Food Technologist with the leadership and operational management of a Production Supervisor. The individual is responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of food production processes, from raw material to finished product, while leading the production team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Sensory Evaluation and Food Technology principles
• Strong Laboratory Skills and experience in Quality Control processes
• Knowledge of Research and Development (R&D) methodologies
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in compliance with safety and quality standards
• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with food industry regulations and standards is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical and Quality Assurance (Food Technologist Focus)

* Product Development & Improvement:

* Assist in the research, development, and scaling-up of new food products and formulations.

* Modify existing products and processes to improve quality, shelf-life, and cost-efficiency.

* Quality Control (QC) & Safety:

* Implement and maintain stringent Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) protocols throughout the production process.

* Monitor and test raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and regulatory standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FSSAI/FDA).

* Conduct sensory evaluation and analytical testing of food products.

* Compliance:

* Ensure all production activities adhere to food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and company policies.

* Document and maintain accurate records of all quality checks, production runs, and R&D trials.

1. Production Management and Leadership (Production Supervisor Focus)

* Production Planning & Execution:

* Supervise daily production activities, ensuring the production schedule is met efficiently and on time.

* Coordinate the flow of materials, equipment, and personnel to optimize output.

* Team Leadership:

* Manage, train, and motivate production line staff, fostering a positive and safety-conscious work environment.

* Conduct performance reviews and manage employee schedules and attendance.

* Operational Efficiency:

* Monitor production line performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or inefficiencies.

* Troubleshoot process and equipment issues on the floor to minimize downtime.

* Implement Lean manufacturing principles where applicable.

* Inventory & Cost Control:

* Manage and control inventory of ingredients and packaging materials to prevent shortages or waste.

* Monitor and manage production costs to meet budgetary goals.

Required Qualifications

* Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.

* Experience: 1.5 year of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in both R&D/QC and production supervision.
