At McFadyen Digital We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Engineer with 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in managing and securing enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Azure Cloud, Intune, Microsoft Defender, network security, Palo Alto Firewalls, and cybersecurity tools. This role will be responsible for implementing and managing EDR, MFA, PAM, and ZTNA solutions to enhance the security posture of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud & Endpoint Security:

• Manage and optimize Azure Cloud infrastructure, including VM management, networking, and security best practices.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and compliance.
• Oversee Microsoft Defender security suite for threat protection, vulnerability management, and endpoint security.

Network Security & Firewalls:

• Administer and secure Palo Alto Firewalls, including policy configuration, VPN setup, and traffic monitoring.
• Implement network segmentation, intrusion detection/prevention, and threat intelligence strategies.

Cybersecurity & Compliance:

• Deploy and monitor EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) solutions to detect and mitigate cyber threats.
• Manage and Monitor MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), PAM (Privileged Access Management), and ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access) frameworks.

IT Infrastructure & Operations:

• Provide internal IT support for users, systems, and hardware setup.
• Oversee laptop provisioning, user onboarding/offboarding, and device lifecycle management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot IT infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security into cloud operations.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, security policies, and incident response procedures.

• 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, cloud security, and network security.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, endpoint management, and network security. Specially on of Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Defender, and other endpoint security solutions.
• In-depth understanding of firewall technologies (Palo Alto preferred) and network security principles.
• Expertise in cybersecurity tools such as EDR, MFA, NAC, PAM, and ZTNA.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to respond to security incidents effectively.
• Ability to define processes and enforce best practices in a fast-paced, tech-driven company.

Preferred Experience With:

• Microsoft Azure (identity, networking, compliance)
• Microsoft Intune for endpoint management
• Microsoft Defender for endpoint security
• Palo Alto Firewalls and related security policies
• Cybersecurity tools like EDR, MFA, PAM, and ZTNA

Certifications (a plus):

• Azure Security Engineer
• Palo Alto PCNSE
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) or equivalent
