Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development: Design and prepare well-structured, clear lesson plans and teaching materials appropriate for students' abilities and the curriculum.
  • Instruction: Deliver engaging, comprehensive, and understandable math lessons, using real-life examples to illustrate concepts and build student interest.
  • Assessment: Develop and administer various assessments, such as tests, quizzes, and assignments, to monitor student performance and provide feedback.
  • Student Support: Offer individualized support to students who may need extra help, working to develop their mathematical skills and foster their confidence.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, stimulating, and disciplined learning environment where students are motivated to study and work to their potential.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, concerns, and achievements, and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on advancements in education, new teaching techniques, and technological tools.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with other teachers, department heads, and school staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience and support whole-child development.

  • Strong foundation in mathematics, from basic arithmetic to advanced concepts like calculus and statistics.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Patience, compassion, and a collaborative approach to learning.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop an interest in mathematics.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, often with a higher degree in mathematics.
