**Key Responsibilities:**

- Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs primarily using Python and Postgres

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of coding standards and best practices

- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and scalability

- Document software functionality and assist in maintaining technical documentation

- Engage in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving development processes and product features

**Required Qualifications:**

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

- 0-2 years of experience in software development or internships/co-op experience

- Proficiency in Python programming language

- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with Postgres or other relational databases

- Familiarity with TypeScript and JavaScript for frontend or full-stack development

- Understanding of software development lifecycle and version control systems (e.g., Git)

- Basic knowledge of RESTful API design and development

- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Exposure to modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue)

- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
