Role & responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to identify opportunities for tax savings and risk management.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company's operations and finances.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to provide strategic tax planning support on various business initiatives.
  • Lead tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities, ensuring comprehensive documentation and representation.
  • Prepare and present reports on tax matters to senior management and stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.

Preferred candidate profile

  • CA Completion Mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in direct and indirect taxation, preferably within the luxury goods or retail sectors.
  • Strong understanding of local and international tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in tax planning and risk management, with a focus on strategic insights.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
