Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated ETL Developer to design, develop, and enhance data integration workflows using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI). The role also involves supporting daily ETL operations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth data processing for client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities ETL Development

  • Design and develop ETL workflows using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI).
  • Enhance, modify, and optimize existing ETL jobs based on requirement changes.
  • Analyze client requirements and translate them into technical ETL solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation for ETL processes and data flows.
  • Perform unit testing and validate ETL outputs for accuracy and completeness.

Production Support (Secondary Responsibility)

  • Monitor daily ETL jobs and ensure timely file processing.
  • Investigate and resolve ETL job failures, data discrepancies, and file issues.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to provide updates on job status and issue resolution.
  • Load and validate files received through SFTP when required.

Data Handling & Automation

  • Work with MySQL databases to write and optimize SQL queries.
  • Use Python scripts for automation and data transformation tasks (e.g., Excel to flat file).
  • Manage scheduled tasks and ensure smooth execution of automated workflows.

Technical Skills Required

  • Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) – ETL design & development
  • MySQL / SQL Yog – strong SQL querying skills
  • Python – scripting for data processing and automation
  • SFTP & File Handling – CSV, Excel, flat files
  • MS Excel – data validation and reporting
  • Task Scheduler / Cron Jobs – job automation

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication for coordination with internal teams and clients
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • High attention to detail and compliance with review processes

Experience

  • 3 years of experience as an ETL Developer or in similar data engineering roles
  • Experience with Pentaho and production support environments is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
