Own the end-to-end performance of Food, Non-Food, and General Merchandise categories. Lead assortment planning, ad buying, procurement, vendor management, and replenishment to deliver sales, margin, and inventory efficiency in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs):
- Category P&L Ownership: Drive category sales, margins, and profitability across all formats.
- Ad Buying & Promotions: Plan and execute promotional campaigns, media buying, and visibility plans with marketing.
- Procurement & Vendor Management: Lead vendor selection, negotiations, and annual business agreements for best commercial terms.
- Assortment Planning: Define and optimize SKU mix, pricing, and planograms based on consumer demand and regional preferences.
- Replenishment & Supply Planning: Ensure automated and efficient replenishment systems to maintain ideal stock levels and avoid outages.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock turns, ageing inventory, and markdowns to maintain healthy working capital.
- Private Label Development: Identify and launch high-margin private label products.
- Team Leadership: Guide category managers, buyers, and replenishment planners towards performance and capability development.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Proven experience in category management, procurement, and merchandising in FMCG / retail.
- Understanding of retail operations, demand forecasting, and replenishment systems.
- Ability to balance marketing-driven ad buys with margin and inventory efficiency.
- Leadership and cross-functional coordination abilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹1,200, ₹1,600,000.00 per year
