Responsibilities

Job Description: Senior Analyst / Manager – Regulatory Model Risk

Experience

3–6 years of relevant experience in model development, model monitoring, and model validation within financial services.

Role Overview

Responsible for end-to-end ownership of regulatory credit risk models, including development, monitoring, validation, and documentation.

Work as an individual contributor and project lead, supporting stakeholder discussions and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, validate, and monitor models under CCAR, CECL/CCL, IFRS 9, and Basel frameworks.

Perform model performance assessment, stability analysis, back-testing, sensitivity analysis, and benchmarking.

Prepare and review model documentation: methodology, assumptions, limitations, validation reports, and monitoring dashboards.

Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal model risk management (MRM) policies.

Support audit, regulator, and senior management queries.

Collaborate with business, data, and technology teams for model implementation and enhancements.

Mentor junior analysts (for manager-level role).

Required Skills & Knowledge

Strong understanding of statistical and econometric techniques (regression, logistic models, time-series, PD/LGD/EAD concepts).

Hands-on experience in credit risk / loss forecasting models.

Strong model technical understanding and ability to explain models to non-technical stakeholders.

Solid domain knowledge in retail/wholesale credit risk.

Proficiency in SAS, Python, R, or SQL.

Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred

Experience working with regulators, audits, or internal model reviews.

Prior exposure to global banking regulatory environments.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
