Receptionist Job DescriptionOverview The receptionist is often the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and employees and plays a crucial role in creating a positive and professional impression of the organization. They are responsible for handling all front desk and clerical duties in a professional manner.Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls efficiently
  • Manage and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments and meetings
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks such as data entry and filing
  • Manage office supplies and inventory
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
  • Provide general administrative support to staff as needed
  • Ensure security and safety procedures are followed at the front desk
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven work experience as a receptionist or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to maintain a professional and polite demeanor in all situations
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
