Insights Analyst

Equifax is looking for an Analyst to join its team in India supporting the Canada business unit. As an insight analyst at Equifax, you will work directly with stakeholder using data and analytics to build solutions which answer key industry questions and provide lead thought leadership on market trends.

The ideal candidate will not only have strong technical experience but demonstrate creativity and inquisitiveness and a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. You will be working in a fast-paced function where digging to understand the "why" and "so what" is critical.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working in our cloud environment, leverage statistical techniques, visualization tools and segmentation / modelling techniques to develop scalable insights across multiple credit related topics
• Collaborate with internal partners and clients to support development of proprietary
• analytical products and effectively communicate analytical results, findings to key stakeholders in a timely manner using strong data visualizations, superior presentation skills and business language to emphasize the "so what" of the analysis.
• Ensure thorough quality control of all analytical output, verifying the accuracy and integrity of the data and analysis, and confirming that the resulting insights are logical, intuitive, and consistent with observed trends
• Quality control of all analytical output

What experience you need:

• 3+ years' analytics / data science experience with expert knowledge of R, Python, SAS or SQL in a large data environment
• 2+ years experience designing and building analytical solutions to solve real world problems, with limited direct supervision required
• Demonstrable experience in delivering business insights
• Solid communication / presentation skills
• Creativity & idea generation
• Experience in working with Credit Bureau data
• Experience working in the consumer / commercial credit or fraud industry
• Background in financial services, telecommunications or utilities favorable
• Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik) is an asset

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics (essential)
• Master's level degree in a business-related field/MBA (preferred)
