Associate Director

The Associate Director will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements. This includes architecting reusable templates for core and featured infrastructure services, leading cloud migration initiatives, and ensuring compliance with security and performance standards.

Major accountabilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of infrastructure solutions across AWS and On-Prem environments for APD and IES business functions
• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and compliant infrastructure aligned with Novartis standards.
• Oversee integration of AWS services in multi-environment setups (Dev, QA, Prod).
• Ensure infrastructure supports real-time data replication, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business continuity and compliance goals.
• Manage infrastructure cost optimization and performance tuning across environments.
• Successful deployment of infrastructure across Dev, QA, and Prod environments
• Reduction in infrastructure cost through optimized AWS consumption and instance sizing.
• Timely delivery of infrastructure components aligned with project timelines and business milestones.
• Effective monitoring and logging setup using Splunk and S3 lifecycle policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Work Experience:

• Minimum 10–12 years in infrastructure solution delivery, with at least 5 years in AWS and On-Prem hybrid environments
• Proven experience in delivering infrastructure for regulated environments (GxP, HIPAA, SOX).
• Hands-on experience with AWS Services, Security and Performance.
• Deep expertise in AWS services
• Strong understanding of Linux (RHEL 8), Windows Server, and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with infrastructure cost modeling and budgeting in AWS.
• Knowledge of Splunk for monitoring and logging, including billing dashboards and operational insights.
• Ability to design and implement DR strategies including snapshot-based backups and failover planning.
